Who is Miss Kate?
Miss Kate was a black toy poodle who belonged to the founder, Debra Patterson. Years ago, Debra had toured many facilities near her home hoping to find one where she felt comfortable leaving behind her beloved pet. What she found instead was tiny play areas, undersized cold metal crates, uncomfortable concrete runs, very little play time, no supervision, and at night… no one at the facility until the following morning. Disheartened by her findings, she dreamed about a facility centered around the idea that a tired dog is a happy dog! Unfortunately, Miss Kate passed away, but her legacy lives on through this facility in her honor.

What Makes Us Different
Miss Kate’s Bed and Biscuit is a privately owned Boarding, Doggy Day Care and Bathing Facility located in Oxford, Florida. We are conveniently located only 6 miles from The Villages just off CR 466 and CR475. Nestled on 5 acres with ample shaded and secured pastures, there’s tons of room for dogs of all sizes to run and have unlimited play! Here at Miss Kate’s, we really do encourage outdoor play for the pups… and when they finally get tired, we have climate controlled, roomy, oversized suites for the large dogs, and 20 mini suites inside our house for the small dogs. At night, we let the little ones roam freely throughout the house…just like home! Possibly the biggest factor that makes us different is that your best friend is never alone. We live on site, 24/7, 365 days a year! You can even watch your best friend from your cellphone via our cameras located throughout the property.
So, whether you want to come in for a day to do some guilt-free shopping, take time for that needed visit to the doctor, have a mini-vacation planned for a week, or an extended family vacation for a month… we are always here and available to give you that comfort and peace of mind. We will love your dog almost as much as you do – so there is no guilt while you are away!

Moreover, we offer pick up/drop off services, have filtered Berkey Water and make our own organic homemade treats!

Our facility is attended 24/7/365 days a year, hence, your pet is never alone! You can even watch your best friend from your cell phone by downloading an app and then viewing via satellite from one of our digital cameras!
